Tantalum (Ta) is a rare, hard, dense, gray-blue, ductile transition metal highly resistant to corrosion and heat, with a high melting point.
Tantalum has excellent chemical properties and extremely high corrosion resistance.
It does not react with hydrochloric acid, concentrated nitric acid or aqua regia, whether in cold or hot conditions.
SUNWELL provided Ta metal strips for producing the spiral wound gaskets. This is an appliction in an extremely harsh condition.
Utilized in components for chemical plants and nuclear power plants, where is chemical inertness and high heat resistance are critical
